Dodecanthiol

Dodecanthiol, n-dodecyl mercaptan, can be used in lubricant intermediates to produce additives as well as final components to improve lubricant performance in base oils and metal working fluids. It is used as reactant in the synthesis of antioxidants, which minimize undesirable effects from processes, such as the stabilization of tin, in polymer and rubber applications.
