Iminodisuccinic acid sodium salt (IDS) is a biochelate used as an outstanding alternative to EDTA, superior to the conventional complexing agents, because of its excellent capabilities of complexing iron, copper, zinc and calcium ions etc. It has outstanding biodegradability and compatibility. Its applications are within cleaning products and detergents, as bleaching agent stabilizer and as fertilizer micronutrient.
